CORON, PALAWAN - Day 3

This is the third day of our Coron, Palawan Tour. There was no island hopping scheduled as the entire day was blocked off solely for the purpose of beach bumming. This is us all ready and giddy to experience one whole day of life at the beach.

The chosen island for our ultimate beach bumming experience (UBBE), a popular term among beach goers, is the isolated yet charming Banana Island. The island was named as such due to its shape, which conforms to a banana leaf when seen from an aerial perspective.

So what can you do given one whole day of beach bumming at Banana Island?

For starters, you could swim or snorkel the waters of Banana Island. The water was clear, though it is advised to swim with life jackets on, as there could be mild current and the water level is not that shallow.

For those who want to have a good work out at the beach, you could always jog around the island. But for those who are inclined to sociable sports, you could play beach volleyball or frisbee at Banana Island.

Or, you could also kayak at Banana Island, for free! My friend there can teach you a thing or two about kayaking just with the seriousness marked on his face.

But for the most of us who are not up to kayaking or any physical activity for that matter, you could always use the kayaking equipment as photo-op instruments, like these:

Or you could follow us and try doing cheer leading stunts at the shoreline and end up laughing when you could not execute the movements convincingly.

By the way, staging of pictorial sessions as Banana Island should definitely not be missed.

And ifever you run out of ideas on what to do on your beach bumming day at Banana Island, you could just goof around with friends and have the best day of your life!

We attempted to make sand castles but that proved to be an ambitious feat, hence, a simple CORON name was hastily done on the sand during the last ten minutes before we were scheduled to leave Banana Island.

Just as I was hesitant to leave the island yet, I captured my last Banana Island images.

As our boat was slowly departing from the island, we experienced the colorful and stunning sun set over Banana Island. What a beauty.

This is life!

This is us after our one whole day of ultimate beach bumming experience at Banana Island, all tanned up with smiles across our faces.

Up next is the fourth and last day of our Coron, Palawan Tour (Day 4).
